Learn More About Seal
What is a liner, and what is its primary function?
A liner is a sealing component inserted into a screw cap. Its primary function is to create a leak-proof and often air-tight barrier between the cap and the bottle’s sealing surface (the “land area”). This protects the product from leakage, contamination, evaporation, and oxidation.
What materials are your liners made from?
We use a variety of materials to meet different needs:
Foam: Polyurethane or polyethylene foam for compressibility.
Foil: Aluminum foil for induction sealing and superior barrier properties.
Films: Plastic films like LDPE, HDPE, or Surlyn (ionomer) as the sealing layer.
Pulp: Bleached or unbleached paper pulp.
Specialty Polymers: PTFE (Teflon™), FEP, or Silicone for high chemical resistance.
How do I choose the right liner for my product?
Consider these factors:
Product Formulation: Is it acidic, oily, alcoholic, or a solvent? This determines chemical compatibility.
Barrier Needs: Does the product need protection from oxygen or moisture? Foil-based liners are best.
Tamper Evidence: Is a tamper-evident seal required? Choose an induction liner.
Application Method: Do you have induction sealing equipment?
We strongly advise providing your product details for our technical recommendation. Are your liners safe for direct contact with food or pharmaceuticals?
Yes. We provide liners that comply with major international safety regulations:
FDA CFR 21 (USA) for food contact
Can you provide liners for child-resistant (CR) caps?
Absolutely. We supply liners specifically designed to work with the internal mechanism of push-and-turn or squeeze-and-turn child-resistant caps without compromising the seal or safety function.
Can you print my company logo or design on the liner?
Yes, we offer custom logo and design printing on most types of liners. This provides an additional branding opportunity and enhances product presentation when customers open your package.
